James Wilson Helm first married Virginia Lucas and they had eight children.  
Virginia died after the birth of Virginia and a year later James Wilson married 
Clara Lucas, the sister of his first wife. James and his family lived in Warren 
county and Auburn, Logan County Kentucky.
