Ruby Hortense JEFFRIES, 28, died Sunday at the Clark County Hospital in
Jeffersonville, Ind. She was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. W. U. Jeffries of
Green County, and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She is survived
by her husband, William Jeffries, two sons, David Junior and Freddie Wilsin
Jeffries four daughters, Shirley, Debbie Faye, Marie and Catha Jeffries;
four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Whitlock and Mrs. Fanny Whitehead Greensburg, Mrs.
Bessie Baker and Mrs. Beulah Hortelendy, Louisville; two brothers Luther and
Tommie Jeffries of Otisco, Ind. Funeral services were held Tuesday at New
Hope Baptist Church with Rev. E. T. Caffee in charge. Pallbearers were
Everett Hannenson, Edwin Blakeman, Omar Risen, Osten Lowe, Raymond Ennis and
Vester Workman.
