13 Dec 1824  Spencer Co. Deed Book A . 76  William JEWELL of Spencer County KY 
to Isaac NORMAN, Daniel BENNETT and John TAYLOR, Trustees  on behalf of Elk 
Creek Churc hof the County and State of Spencer of the other part.  Witnesseth 
that for and in consideration of the sum of nine Dollars to him in hand paid do 
acknowledge a certain tract or lot of Ground Containing three Acres Situate and 
lying in Spencer County on Elk Creek... also that the Baptist Church at Elk 
Creek has the privelege of Building a meeting house where the old meeting house 
stood if Required and that  part above the Mill Race (?) for a Burying Ground 
for the only use of the Trustees on behalf of Elk Creek Church.
