Johnson of the one part and Hardin Brown of the other part both of the parties of Trigg County state of Kentucky Witnesseth that the said Gregory D. Johnson hath this day sold and doth hereby convey unto the said Hardin Brown two acres and one quarter of land for the sum of six dollars money in hand paid the receipt of which he doth hereby acknowledge, and a part of the tract of land on which the said Gregory now resides and that part of the same which adjoins the tract the said Hardin purchased of Harrison Johnson adjoining Ewe’s Spring and bounded as follows: Viz. Beginning at two white oaks one of Hardin Brown’s original corners at said Ewe’s Spring, running thence West 18 poles to a hickory, dogwood, and red oak, thence N 30º W 22 poles to a sweet gum and elm, thence N. 35º E. 18 poles to the said Ewe’s Spring branch, thence up the same with its various meanders, to the place of beginning. And the said Gregory D. Johnson, Jr. for himself his heirs & assigns doth hereby warrant and defend the title to the said lott of land free from the claim of himself his heirs or assigns, or any person claiming under, by, or through him or his heirs. In testimony where - I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date above written. Witness Gregory D. I, William Gannon, clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid, do hereby certify that this deed from Gregory D. Johnson Jr. to Harden Brown, was on the 15th day of October 1834, proven before me, in my office by the oath of Beverly Brown, and on the 29 Instant, by the oath of James Brown, the two subscribing witnesses thereto, to be the act and deed of said Gregory D. Johnson Jr., the grantor. Whereupon said Deed together with this certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my office. Given under my hand this said 29th day of October 1834.
