Johnson Senr. of Trigg County Kentucky of the one part, and Gregory D. Johnson Junior of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Gregory D. Johnson, Senior has this day for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars in hand paid the receipt of which he doth hereby acknowledge hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth hereby bargain and sell unto said Gregory D. Johnson junior all that tract or parcel of land on which he the said Gregory D. Johnson Senior now resides it being the remaining moiety of a three hundred acre survey entered and patented in the name of Jno. C. Penticost and a part of the same tract which the said Gregory D. Senior sold to H. A. Johnson and J. E. F. Mitchusson; meeted and bounded as follows, Viz. Beginning at four small black gums running thence South 65º W. 92 poles to a red oak & hickory standing on the North bank of the Tennessee River thence down the same with its meanders, N 36º W. 84 poles to three hickories corner to Z. E. F. Mitchusson thence with said Mitchusson’s line N. 67º E 22 poles to white oak, Sassafras and Sour wood thence S 35º E 8 poles to a white oak and hickory thence N. 63º E. 68 poles to two gums and an Elm beginning corner of said Z. E. F. Mitchusson thence N. 21º E. 38 poles to two white oaks, thence N. 41º E 30 poles to poplar gum and white oak, corner to Harrison A. Johnson’s tract thence with said H. A. Johnson’s line South 41º E. 135 poles to Ewe’s Spring cornering on two white oaks, the beginning corner of said H. A. Johnson’s tract running thence South 79 W 90 poles to the place of beginning containing one hundred acres more or less and the said Gregory D. Johnson Senior doth hereby for ever warrant and defend the said tract of land from the claim of himself his heirs or assigns or any wise claiming under, by, or through himself his heirs or assigns to him the said Gregory Johnson Junior his heirs or assigns for ever. I, William Gannon, clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid, do hereby certify, that this deed from Gregory D. Johnson Senr. to Gregory D. Johnson Junr. was on this day produced to me in my office, and acknowledged by said Gregory D. Johnson Senr. the grantor to be his act and Deed.
