A heavy piece of timber fell and struck him across the body, crushing him. He was immediately taken to a Louisville hospital for treatment, where all that medical skill and surgery could do was unveiling. He died Monday at 3 o’clock. His two sisters were with him when the end came The remains were brought to Burgin for interment. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church at 2:30 p.m., yesterday afternoon, by Rev. W D. Moore and Rev. J.B. Jones, and the interment was in the Burgin cemetery.
