It is with deepest sympathy for the parents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Leonard Johnson, of Lincoln county, and the sisters, Mrs. 
Martha Denny and Mrs. Stanley Voris, of this place, that 
we chronicle the very sad accident which resulted in the 
death of Mr. Frank Johnson, while at work at Morehead, 
last Saturday. A heavy piece of timber fell and struck 
him across the body, crushing him. He was immediately 
taken to a Louisville hospital for treatment, where all 
that medical skill and surgery could do was unveiling. 
He died Monday at 3 o’clock. His two sisters were with 
him when the end came  The remains were brought to Burgin 
for interment. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist 
church at 2:30 p.m., yesterday afternoon, by Rev. W  D. 
Moore and Rev. J.B. Jones, and the interment was in the 
Burgin cemetery.
