Deed Bk A, p 41, 42 This Indenture made this Twenty seventh day of August In the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and ninety four between John HELM and Sally his wife of the County of Washington and State of Kentucky of the one part and Nelson JOLLEY of the County of Hardin and state afforesaid of the other part witnesseth That the sd John HELM and Sally his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen shillings Current mony of Virginia to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant Bargain and sell unto the sd Nelson JOLLEY a Certain tract or parcel of land Containing one hundred and ninety acres by survey bearing date the twenty sixth day of September 1793 and Pattented the second day of December in the year of our Lord 1785 situate in the County of Hardin on the dividing edge between the waters of Hardin Creek and Bear run a branch of Clover Creek waters of Ohio and bounded as followeth towit Beginning at a white oak on the south side of the path leading from Hardins Station to Bushes Lick corner to Benjamin HARDINS survey of 400 acres thence along his line south twenty one degrees East two hundred and sixty one poles to a black Oak and dogwood DOWELLS Corner in HARDINS line thence with Dowells line South sixty nine degrees west one hundred and four poles to a Black oak dogwood in TOBINS line thence along ____ North 30 degrees West sixty eight poles to a white oak and Dogwood TOBINS Corner thence with his line north sixty six degrees East Eighteen poles to a red oak TOBINS Corner thence north twenty four degrees west one hundred and Eighty nine pole to a white oak in DOWELLS line thence along his line north sixty nine degrees East one hundred and Eighteen poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with it appurtenances to the said Nelson JOLLEY his Heirs and assigns forever and the said John HELM and Sally his wife for themselves and their Heirs do further Covenant to and with the said Nelson JOLLEY and his HEIRS that they will warrant and Defend the said one hundred and nine acres of Land with its appurtenances to the said Nelson JOLLEY and his Heirs against themselves and their Heirs and against every other person or persons claiming under them In witness whereof the said John HELM and Sally his wife have hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and year above written.
