Daughter of the late Matthew Elbert and Beauty Terrell Morris Bennett Married 8 July 1918 Ellis Madison Jones in Jeffersonville IN. They were married
71 years when he died on 28 Nov 1989. They lived all of their married life and raised their four children in Cave City.

Member Cave City Baptist Church, homemaker, retired clerk at Handy and Reynolds General Store in cave City. During Cave City's Sesquicentennial Celebration in 2003, Mrs. Jones was honored as the oldest citizen of Cave City.

Survivors: 
Granddaughter: Donna Barnett of Crawfordsville IN
Nieces: Geraldine Jones of Campbellsville KY and Kay Bennett of Elizabethtown KY
Nephew: Neal Bennett of Hodgenville KY
Nine grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren. 
Preceded in death also by: 
Daughter: Edith Bernice Gordon
Sons: Ellis M Jr, Evan B (killed in WW II), and Edmond Ezekiel Jones Grandson and great-grandson
Services: 2 pm Saturday, 17 Apr 2004, Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, burial Cave City Cemetery.
