Tuesday, January 7, 1964, McCreary County Record:
Harrison Jones, 72, died January 1, 1964, at his home at Hill Top terminating 
a long illness. A retired farmer, Mr. Jones move to Hill Top from Wayne County 
in 1963. He was born in McCreary County Aug 22, 1891, and was a son of Rev. 
John I. Jones and Darkie Tucker Jones, both deceased. He was married Oct. 13, 
1920 in Wayne County to Lou Whitehead who survives. Mr. Jones was a member of 
the Freedom Baptist Church. Survivors, besides his wife, are four daughters, 
Mrs. Zell Moore, Hamilton, Ohio; Mrs. Viola Isaacs, Cincinnati; Mrs. Irene 
Tucker, Cincinnati; Miss Ruth Jones, Hill Top; two sons, Fred Jones, Hill Top, 
and Thomas Jones, Cincinnati; four sisters, Mossie Jones, Ruthie Jones and 
Euna Tucker, all of Delta, Ky., and Mrs. Ada Mason, Smithtown, and twenty-
three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, January 3, at 2 p.m., 
at the Wolf Ridge Church with Rev. Chester Stephens officiating./   Burial was 
in the Sammy New Cemetery.
