MATTIE COX JONES

Mattie Cox Jones, 94, of Russellville, OH, formerly of Kettle Island, passed 
away on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at her home. She was born in Kettle Island 
on September 13, 1910 the daughter of the late Lige and Lula Brock Cox. She 
had been a homemaker. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her husband, Tandy 
Jones, son, Franklin D. Jones, grandson, Elmer Jones, brothers and sisters, 
Phema Deaton, Nan White, Arthur Cox, Grant Cox, Elmer Cox, Pearl Cox, Gladys 
Johnson and Hettie Cadle. 
Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Dyer, great-grandsons, Raymond, 
Christopher, Thomas and Ryan Jones, great-great-grandchildren, Nicholas, 
Caleb, Madison and Hayley and brother, Walter Cox and a host of nieces, 
nephews and friends. 
Services will be at 10 AM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with 
Rev. George Neal. Burial will be in the Jenson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be 
family and friends. 
The family will receive friends after 7 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele
