Robert Earl Kellen Sr., 81, Sturgis, died Tuesday at 6:05am at his
residence on Grant Street.

Mr. Kellen is retired from the Civil Service, US Governement. He was
a member of the Sturgis United Methodist Church, a member of the Masonic
Lodge, a 32 degree mason, member of Rizpah Temple, Sturgis Odd Fellows, A
Kentucky Colonel, a former city councilman, and he also served as Mayor
Protem, he was also president of the Sturgis Chapter of 3 C's. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elvira, who died in 1994.

Survivors include three daughters, Karen Brantley of Marion, KY.,
Hanna VanHoose of Taylor, MI., and Mary Virginia Kellen of Sturgis; two
brothers, Joseph Melvin Kellen of Flint, MI and James Kellen of Paducah, KY.

Services were held at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sturgis.
Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery. The time is pending.
