Deed Bk A, pp 358- John to Charles This Indenture made this tenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven Between John KENNADY and Elizabeth his wife of Nelson County and state of Kentucky of the one part and Charles KENNEDY of Hardin County and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said John KENNADY and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds Currant money to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given granted Bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant Bargain and sell unto the said Charles KENNADY a Certain tract or parcel of Land Containing two hundred Eleven and a half acres lying and being in the said County of Hardin on both sides of Youngers Creek part of two surveys the one bearing date the twentieth day of April one thousand seven hundred and Eighty four the other patent dated the tenth day of April one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five and bounded as followeth (Towit) Beginning at two white oaks corner to the said two hundred acre survey running thence north thirty nine degrees East sixty poles to a stake corner to Peter KENNADY thence with his line north fifty one degrees west one hundred and Eighty poles to a white oak on the bank of said creek thence south thirty nine degrees west thirty four poles up said creek to a small Black walnut sapling on the south bank thereof thence North fifty one degrees west one hundred and fifty four poles to a line of the five hundred acre survey thence with the same south thirty nine degrees west one hundred and thirty Eight poles to a Black oak on the side of a knob thence south fifty one degrees East one hundred and seventy to a white ash and Beech thence north thirty nine degrees East one hundred and Eleven poles to a stake in said Charles __ field thence south fifty one degrees East one hundred and Eighty poles to the Beginning To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of Land unto the said Charle s KENNEDY his Heirs and assigns and the said John KENNEDY and Elizabeth his wife for themselves and their Heirs do further Covenant and agree to and with the said Charles KENNEDY and his heirs the aforesaid tract or parcel of Land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging from themselves and their heirs and from the claim or claims of all and Every person or persons whatsoever will warrant and for ever defend to the said Charles &c in witness whereof the said John KENNEDY and Elizabeth his wife have here- unto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written John KANNADY [seal] Elizabeth KANNADY [seal] Hardin County Sct The foregoing Deed from John KENNADY Senr and Elizabeth his wife to Charles KENNADY was acknowledged in Court by the said John Senr and was ordered to be recorded.
