Deed Bk A, pp 360, 361 John Sr to Jr This Indenture made this tenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven Between John KENNEDY Sr and Elizabeth his wife of the County of Nelson and state of Kentucky of the one part and John KENNEDY Junior of Hardin County and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John KENNEDY Senior and Elizabeth his wife for and in consid- eration of twenty pounds Currant Money to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknow- ledged have given granted Bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant Bargain and sell unto the said John KENNEDY Junior a Certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and fifty acres lying and being in the said County of Hardin on the south branch of the right hand fork of Youngers Creek waters of the Roling fork of Salt River and bounded as followeth (towit) Beginning at a black oak and white oak in the head of a _____ standing about south twenty degrees west from Andrew HYNES south w est corner of two hundred acre survey on said creek fork thence south nine degrees East one hundred and fifty poles to a black oak thence south Eighty one degrees west two hundred and forty poles to a line of the original survey, thence north nine degrees East one hundred and sixty poles to three white oaks about forty poles from the Valley tract thence north Eighty one degrees East two hundred and forty poles to a stake thence South nine degrees East ten poles to the Beginning it being one half of a five hundred acre survey tract Patented in the name of John KENNEDY by Survey bearing date the twentieth day of December one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said John KENNEDY Junior his heirs or assigns and the said John KENNEDY senior and Elizabeth his wife for themselves and their Heirs do further Covenand and agree to and with the said JOhn KENNEDY Junior and his heirs the afo resaid two hundred and fifty acres of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging from themselves and their heirs and from the Claim or Claims of all and Every person or persons whatever to the said John KENNEDY Junior his heirs and assigns will Warrant and forever defend In witness whereof the said John KENNEDY Senior and Elizabeth his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written John KENNEDY [seal] Elizabeth KENNEDY [seal] Hardin County Sct November Court 1797 The foregoing Deed from John KENNEDY Senr to John KENNEDY Junior was acknowledged at court by the sd John Senr and was ordered to be Recorded Teste John PAUL CHC Transcribed by Patricia O'Connor p-oconnor@att. net Submitted by: Patricia O'Connor p-oconnor@att.net This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/kyfiles/
