John William ("Bill") Keys, born in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, on 13 April 
1860, was the son of Andrew Jackson Keys, Sr. (born in Virginia or possibly 
Ohio) and Martha Ann ("Mattie") Shaw (born in Indiana).  On 12 December 1883, 
at the home of August Dutschke in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, John William 
Keys married Catherine Alwilda ("Wilda") Dutschke.  The couple had 11 
children.
