George Barnett Kidd, 83, died Monday Aug 13 [1962] at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Richard Thompson in the Little Barren Community. He was a
member of the Liletown Methodist Church and a son of the late William B. and
Eliza Young Kidd. Besides Mrs. Richard Thompson he is survived by three
other daughters: Mrs Aubrey McKinney, Louisville, Mrs. Leon Thompson and
Mrs. June Houk, Greensburg. Three Brothers: Underwood Kidd, Bloomington,
Ill. ; Tom Kidd, Shelbyville, Ky. and Elbert Kidd, Center, Ky; a sister Mrs.
Nannie Jewell, Center; 15 grandchildren, and 21 great children. Services
were held Tuesday at the Little Barren Separate Baptist Church with burial
in the church cemetery, Rev. F. T. Pepper, Rev. M. J. Hodges and Rev. Harold
Chatney officiating. Pallbearers were Boyce, Doyle and Robert D. McKinney,
Weldon, Lane and Willard Thompson.
