News-Outlook, 1/10 - 1/17 2002, p.2 Maggie Royce Manley Kittinger, age 70, of Bowling Green, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was born in Bath Co. to the late George Allen and Elizabeth Wells Manley. She was a retired elementary school teacher for various Boards of Education, a graduate of KY Wesleyan College, a member of the United Methodist Women and State Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Herbert Lee Kittinger, Jr. of Bowling Green; a son, John Kittinger of Lexington; a daughter, Donna Douglas of Bowling Green; three sisters, June Godbey of Gadsden, AL, Belva Woodward of Owingsville, and Betty Osborn of Lancaster, OH; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at the State Street United Methodist Church in Bowling Green, on Sat. Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. by Rev. Dr. Mike Powers. Burial was in the Bowling Green Gardens. Area family members attending the memorial services were: Eric, Diane, Laura, and Catherine Osborn; Mitch, Michele, Travis and Matthew Woodard; Tony, Cherri, Nathan and Rebecca Stansbury; and Belva and Bill Woodard. Arrangements were made by Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
