        Richard John Laffoon, 59, of Dawson Springs, died at 7:58 p.m.
Sunday in his home.
        Born in Hopkins County on Nov. 2, 1932, he was the son of the late
Curtis Richard Laffoon.
        He is survived by his mother, Dora May (Heggen) Laffoon of Dawson
Springs; his wife Betty Laffoon; one son, Richard Lance Laffoon of Dawson
Springs; two sisters, Romona Gipe of Owensboro and Connie Tripp of St. Louis
Mo.; and one brother, Rayburn Laffoon of Dawson Springs. 
        Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Beshear Funeral
Home, with Rev. John Stalls officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale
Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home 6-9 today and 9 a.m. until
the funeral hour Wednesday. 
        Pallbearers will be John Russell, Peevee Cotton, David Baldwin, and
Mike David Darnell.
