Her devoted family was at her bedside when the end came. Mrs. Landrum had been in ill health since last fall and underwent treatment at the Samson Community Hospital and at Hazelwood Sanitarium in Louisville. "She was a daughter of the late Mr. George Woodson and Mrs. Byrd Woodson, who survives, and was born and reared in the Peters Creek section of Barren county. She was married to Mr. Landrum in 1908. "Mrs. Landrum was a woman who always had a smile and kind word for every one and news of her passing evoked general expressions of grief among her many friends in the county. She was descended from families prominent and influential in the business, social and religious circles of Barren county for generations, and inherited the qualities of her forbears that made them outstanding citizens. She was a member of the Christian church. "Besides her husband, Mr. Ed. L. Landrum, she is survived byone daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Peck) Jones, her mother, Mrs. Byrd Woodson; two sisters, Mrs. Mark Bertram, Glasgow; Mrs. Garland Whitney, Bruce, and a granddaughter, Joan Jones, this city. "Funeral services will be held today at 5 pm (dst) at the Landrum home, Trigg Fish Hatchery. Interment will be in the cemetery at this place."
