Deed Bk H., p 413-414 BREWER; LANGSDEN; SHANKLIN This Indenture made the fifth day of April One thousand Eight hundred and thirty seven between Rodham W. BREWER of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part and John LANGSDEN of the Same County and State of the other part. Witnesseth That the said BREWER for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred and Sixty Dollars current money of the United States in hand paid and secured to be paid by note of even date hereof. The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he said BREWER and wife have sold and by these presents do sell and convey unto the said John LANGSDEN the following land in Bullitt County towit being lots numbered three and four of twenty two and a half acres each making forty five acres more or less being the same Land conveyed by said LANGSDEN to BREWER by Deed dated the 17th of January 1837 of record in the Bullitt County Court – the lots No 3 and 4 are so numbered in the Commissioners report filed in the [claiming ?] cause in Bullitt Circuit Court in the name of Sarah LANGSDEN against the heirs of R. SHANKLIN decd The boundary of No 3 is as follows. Beginning at a stake and water poplar on the bank of Salt river Blue Lick run thence South 150 poles to a Stake red oak and sugar tree. Thence West 24 poles to a Stone at the side of the ____ road Thence South 150 poles to a Small black oak and walnut. Thence East 24 poles to the Beginning. The boundary of said Lot No 4 is as follows viz. Beginning at a small black oak and walnut thence North 150 poles to a stone at the side of the road; Thence West 35 poles to a white oak hickory and ash in the original line; thence with said Line South 150 poles to a stone marked S the original [corner ?] trees being down; thence East twenty four poles to the Beginning with the appurtenances to the Same belonging or in any wise appertaining To Have and To Hold the said two Lots of Land aforesaid to him to the said John LANGSDON and to his heirs forever and the said BREWER and wife do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said John LANGSDON and his heirs that he Said BREWER and his wife will and their heirs shall warrant and forever defend the title to said Land unto said John LANGSDON and to his heirs forever, against the claim or claims of all persons whatsoever claiming or to claim the Same by through or under He said BREWER and wife hereby transferring all their right to said Land as fully as derived to them under the Deed from John LANGSDON to them; and all right and title and claim they or either of them in and to said Land aforesaid. In Testimony whereof the said BREWER and wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the date first herein written. Rodham W. BREWER [seal] Minerva Ann F. BREWER and Minerva Ann his wife to John LANGSDON was on this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by said Rodham W. BREWER to be his act and deed and the said Minerva being examined by me privately and apart from her husband declares that she did freely and willingly seal and deliver said writing and wishes not to retract it. And acknowledged said writing again I have ____ explained to her to be her act and Deed and consenteth that the same may be recorded.
