"We were pained to hear of the death of Mrs. J. W. Lawrence, which sad event 
occurred Tuesday evening, April 28th, after an illness of only a few hours. 
Verily, in the midst of life we are in death. The mother and child were buried 
at the family graveyard Wednesday, amid many sorrowing friends and a heart 
broken husband. Mrs. Lawrence was a daughter of Mr. J. E. Stone and was a most 
excellent lady."
