CHRISTINE LAWSON

	Christine Lawson, 78, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 
2003 at the Pineville Community Hospital.  She was born in Pineville on 
September 20, 1924 daughter of the late Andrew and Bessie Detherage Bays.  She 
had been a Baptist and a homemaker.
	In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, 
Rice Lawson, sisters, Aileen Brooks, Edith Ralston and Bernice Duncan Johnson, 
and brothers, Andrew and Paul Bays.
	Survivors include her children, Judy and Terry Hembree, Leslie and 
Karen Lawson and Ricky and Frances Lawson; eleven grandchildren, twelve great- granddchildren, sister, Evelyn Branham, brothers, Lonnie Bays, Ronald Bays and 
Timmie Bays and a host of nieces and nephews.
	Services were Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. 
Ronnie Bays.  Music was by Billy Baird and Terry, Rhonda and Jerry Branham.  
Burial was in the Detherage Cemetery at Brush Creek.  Pallbearers were Henry 
Root, Lonnie Smith, Johnny Philpot, Ricky C. Lawson, Leslie M. Lawson and 
Chris Lawson.  Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Steven Morgan and special thanks 
to Pineville Community Hospital.
	Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the 
Lawson Family.
