She was born in Breckinridge County on October 2, 1882, the daughter of the late Jacob and Janie Sapp DeHaven. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church. Her husband, Harry Leathem, preceded her in death in December of 1958. Survivors include: four sons: Arch Leathem of Rt. 1, Fordsville Charles Leathem of Rt. 1, Fordsville Maphra Leathem of Rt. 1, Owensboro Clyde Leathem of Rt. 7, Owensboro 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren one sister: Mrs. Rosa Baker of Owensboro The funeral was held Saturday, February 18 from the Harl Funeral Home, Fordsville, with the Rev. Charles Peyton, officiating. Burial was in the Macedonia Cemetery, Ohio County.
