Know all men by these presents that we Hugh Cloyd and Thomas Lee are held
and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the just and full sum
of fifth pounds to which payment will and truly to be made we bind ourselves
our heirs and firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this
16th day of September 1822.  The condition of the above obligation is such
that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be had and solomnized
between the above bound Hugh Cloyd and Margaret Lee both of the County of
Madison if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the same then this
obligation to be void else to Remain in force and virtue.
