Deed Bk H, p 412, 413 JOHNSON; LEE; HENLEY; SUMMERS This Indenture made this Twenty Second day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and thirty Seven between Green B. JOHNSON and Rachael his wife of the County of Bull Rolls and State of Missouri of the one part and Wilford LEE of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the other part. Witnesseth. That the said Green B. JOHNSON and Rachael his wife doth for and in consideration of the ____ ____ sum of Two hundred and twelve dollars and fifty cents, current money of the United States to him in hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant Bargain and sell release and convey to the said Wilford LEE his heirs Executors and administrators a certain tract of Land lying and being situate in the Rolling Fork of Salt river in Bullitt County containing one hundred and Sixty acres of land bounded as follows – Beginning at two beeches on the bank of the Rolling of Salt river Thence down the river 51 poles to live beeches on the bank Thence North fifty two degrees East three hundred and Twenty poles to a beech on the back line; Thence South fifty Seven degrees East eighty poles to a beech Thence South fifty two Degrees West three hundred and twenty poles to the Beginning – To Have and To Hold the said tract of land one hundred and Sixty acres of Land with its appurtenances to the said Wilford LEE his heirs Executors administrators and assigns forever; and the said Green B. JOHNSON and Rachael his wife doth ______ and agree to and with the said Wilford LEE and his heirs or assigns to warrant and forever defend this above tract or parcel of Land with all its appurtenances to the said Wilford LEE his heirs or assigns from the claim or claims of all persons whosoever foretends to claim the land. In Witness whereof I the said Green B. JOHNSON and Rachael his wife have hereunto affixed their hands and seals in the day and year first written Signed Seale in the Green B. JOHNSON [seal] Presence of us – Test Rachael JOHNSON [seal] Samuel HENLEY Miles JOHNSON State of Missouri County of Pike Be it remembered that on this 23rd day of March 1837 Green B. JOHNSON who is known to me as the same person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument of writing as a party thereto came personally before me an unassigned Clerk of the County Court within and for said County of Pike and acknowledged the said instrument by his so subscribed to be his act and deed for all uses purposes therein expressed and at the same time personally came before me the undersigned James HENLEY and Mile JOHNSON who are both known to me as the same persons whose names are Subscribed as Witnesses to the foregoing instrument in writing and being duly sworn upon their oaths do say that Rachael JOHNSON wife of the said Green B. JOHNSON who is well known to them as the same person whose name is subscribe to the foregoing instrument in witness as a party hereto subscribed the same and in their and each of their presence and hearing acknowledged the same to be her act & deed for all the uses and purposes therein expressed and acknowledged and declared that she has executed the Same freely and relinquished her dower in the Land and tenamant herein ________freely and without compulsion or undue influence of her said husband.
