DEED: Lee, 1810, Madison Co Charles Lee Madison County Kentucky Deed Book G 1808 – 1810 Pages 369-370 FHC film #0183287 This Indenture made the fourth day of April 1810 Between Charles Lee of the County of Cumberland and state of Virginia of the one part and Green Clay of Madison County and state of Kentucky of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Charles Lee for and in consideration of the said Green Clay having located a land office warrant for 4096 acres on the waters of little and big muddy creek situated in the present county of Madison and State of Kentucky surveyed the 6th day of Febreary 1797 and pattented the twelth day of September in the year 1800 have granted bargained and sold and by these Presents do Grant bargain and sell unto the said Green Clay, his heirs and asigns forever one equal undivided half or ______of the said four thousand and ninety six acres of land situated as aforesaid and bounded as follows. To wit Beginning at a read oak tree marked IC and two Sycamores on the bank of Muddy Creek at the mouth of Woodsfork and corner to Samuel Gilbert thence with his line west two hundred and fifty poles to his corner two ash trees continuing the cours in all 960 to a stake thence south 683 poles crosing littleMuddy Creek to a stake thence East 960 poles crosing the main Muddy Creek to a stake thence north 683 poles crosing the creek to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said one Equal undivided half or ______ to the said Green Clay his heirs and asigns for ever and the said Charles Lee for himself his heirs he will warrant and forever defend all the right title and interest which he holds to one equal and undivided half or _______ of the said tract of land to the said Green Clay his heirs _______ nothing more than his right and Interest.
