Born Jan. 2, 1921, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Jessie T. and Bertha Wilham Logue. He was a staff sergeant in the Army during World War II, having served in the South Pacific. He was a retired rural mail carrier and a member of Bruner's Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Edith Claunch Logue; a daughter, Rosetta L. Carey of Mercer County; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
