"IN LOVING MEMORY OF TWO DEPARTED CHILDREN. Twice within the last few months I had had to read of the death of dear little people. I have learned to love asmost [almost] as tenderly as if they were my own little niece and nephew. "First was the death of my dear little cousin Margaret Depp and then last week the sweet little cousin Robert Thomas Mansfield who died March 23 and buried March 25. "He was born Dec. 16, 1915, and while he was always a delicate looking child he seemed well. The thing that made him such a sweet, manly child was his thoughtfulness of others. Baby that he was, if he saw a ragged, hungry child he wanted to divide his bounty with it. He has been known to let the other child have such a large portion of his bounty that he himself would go home hungry. He had only been in school a short time but he could read, write and do things children were taught to do in way that showed real talent. "His place will be vacant at Sunday school where he was a regular attendant. Many times he went alone and taking his stand with the people of God he stood an example of old and young. What a consolation to think of this splendid little man -- for little man he was -- starting off in the right direction while he was so young and tender. Surely God loves such a child very tenderly. "To his father and mother and his grandparents who thought of him as the greatest tie they had on earth, remember that God loves you took, and possibly He took your little boy in His innocent to help you to realize this fact. "Yes, too well I know you will miss him. Nineteen years ago my sister left us, but even in my dreams at night we walk and talk together. Ten years and three months ago little Ted, our angel baby went. His litttle hat is a constant reminder of loving memory. "Aunt Net," I 'dot a little new hat." I can even see the glad twinkle in those baby blue eyes as he says it. Ten years ago this March my big strong looking brother was snatched seemingly in the very strength of his manhood. I see him in his children and in my dreams. In my thoughts each of these with other dear departed ones there is a sacred memory that I would not have removed for it draws me toward heaven. And, if you will read and study God's blessed book in connection with your sorrow, if you will apply it to yhourself, if you will believe its teachings from the heart and obey them, and then, if you will be fruit[ful] and hold out faithful to the end yhou will not only be drawn towards heaven, but you will enter its ! shining portals and as sure as you enter you will be reunited with your darling boy for that blessed book tells me he is there. "Oh, we pray to meet our darling, in the land of love and grace, where his little feet ar waiting, And we'll meet him, face to face. Ora Ethel."
