David Reed Martin during his service to the 3rd InfantryUS Army. David Reed Martin was the son of John Dalton Martin and Lucy Frances Johnson, born on December 15, 1898 at Gray, Knox County, Kentucky.

David's syblings were: Rachel Ellen MARTIN b: 27 SEP 1891 in Gray (Knox) KY, James Parker MARTIN b: ABT JAN 1895, Charlie MARTIN b: 15 DEC 1898, Creed Dalton MARTIN b: 26 MAY 1901, Chester Arthur MARTIN b: 24 SEP 1903, Samuel A. 
MARTIN b: 16 JUN 1906.


He married Nannette Serena Walters at Gray, Kentucky on December 24, 1915 and she bore him Vernon Eugene Martin, September 18, 1918 and Theodore Roosevelt Martin on November 11, 1918.. He is buried at Martin Farm on Arapaho Trail Road, Gray Kentucky
