(A tribute of respect by H. C. Stephens, the mail man.) "Once again the angel of death has visited a Barren county home and called to rest a sainted lady. On April 1, after a lingering illness, Aunt Lucy Martin departed this life. She was in her eighty-ninth year and was dearly loved by all who knew her. "She was one of the most considerate of others this writer has ever known, and as long as she was able to go to the mailbox, she insisted on stamping her own mail for fear she would impose on some one. She was thoughtful and kind in every respect and her friends were many in all walks of life. "Aunt Lucy will be greatly missed in the Park City community and especially by the writer. She always greeted me at the mail box with a kind word that was ever inspiring. And in paying tribute to her I know of no more fitting words than those of Tennyson who, after he had grown old, wended his way down by the side of the sea, and as he watched the angry white caps roll over each other the twilight shadows hovered over him; and in the quietness of the hour I imagine he wrote: "Sunset and evening star, and one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar When I put out to sea, Butr such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home. Twilight and evening bells, and after that the dark, And may there be no sadness of farwell When I embark. For though from our bourn of time and place The floods mayk bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crossed the bar."
