Milton MATHENY January 6, 1900 Breckinridge County KyArchives Obituaries Breckinridge News, Cloverport, Ky., Wednesday, January 17, 1900 Page 2, Death Notice STEPHENSPORT NEWS ITEM: The corpse of Mr. Milton MATHENY, a former citizen of our town, arrived on the noon train Monday, and buried at the Stephensport Cemetery. Page 4, Obituary SAND CAVE FLAT NEWS ITEM: DEATH -- Mr. A.M. MATHENY, an old and respected citizen of Breckinridge County, passed away January 6, 1900, at the home of his son-in-law, W.T. CLAYCOMB. His 85th (birthday) anniversary occurred during his last illness. His estimable companion preceded him by only a few years, although he was 10 years her senior. Mr. MATHENY leaves seven children, and quite a number of grandchildren. The funeral was on Sunday evening at the home where he died, preached by the Reverend STUBBLEFIELD, and his remains were brought to Stephensport on Monday, January 8, 1900, and interred in the cemetery near the churches.
