Maxwell Dies at Southmost Joseph C Maxwell 93 died Monday at 2:30am at the Southmost home of his daughter Mrs. W E Kennedy after a residence in the Valley of almost ten years. Mr. Maxwell was a native of Lebanon Kentucky where he was born in 1844. In 1867 he married Roberta Foster who died in 1917. Mr. Maxwell is survived by his daughter Mrs W E Kennedy, two sons J C and D S Maxwell of Fort Worth and one grandson Joe Dave Kennedy Southmost. The body is being held at Kinkley mortuary in Brownsville pending funeral arrangements and services will e arranged after the arrival here of Mr Maxwell's sons form Fort Worth. Tentative plans are to send the body to Kansas for burial. (2) Maxwell Funeral is to be held here. Funeral services for Joseph C Maxwell 93 who died Monday at the home of his daughter Mrs W E Kennedy Southmost will be held Tuesday at 5pm from the Hinkley mortuary chapel her with the Rev E P Day and Matthew Lynn of the Presbyterian church officatin. Will arrive at Wichita at 8:15 a.m. today, on the Santa Fe. A funeral party, in charge of the Gill mortuary, will meet the train and go directly to Highland cemetery where burial services will be conducted by Dr. Asa J. Ferry. A son, D.S. Maxwell. Brownsville, is accompanying the body here. Mr. Maxwell resided in Wichita for a number of years, according to old acquaintances. His wife, Roberta Foster Maxwell, died in Wichita 18 years ago.
