Charlotta Temple May was born in Prestondurg, Floyd County, Kentucky October
22 1825.  Married William D. Giles March 7 1847, who died 12 years ago. They
came to Viroqua in 1854, and have lived here during all these years. Six of
the eight children born them are living Mrs. Mary Heavrin and Mrs. Thomas
Bowman of Appollonia; Mrs Minnie  Bedell of Chippewa Falls; John D. Giles of
Eau Claire, Mrs. A.S. Cobb and Mrs. Louis Silbaugh of Viroqua They were all
present  at the funeral service  at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Cobb.

Obit was found pasted in the back of the Giles Family Bible.  No source or
date was given.
