Mary Barbara Mays, 87, Webster, died Feb. 3, 2008, at her residence. She was born Oct. 26, 1920, the daughter of the late Pleas Woods and Bertha Black.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Don Mays; a daughter, Wanda Havlicek; a sister, Cleo Woods; and brothers, John and Jimmy Woods.

Mrs. Mays is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Williams; a grandson whom she raised as a son, Kenneth Garrett; and a brother, Delbert (Kitty) Woods, all from Webster; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great- grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Feb. 6 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Bro. Don Bruington officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Terry Lynn Greer, Andy, Buster, Jamie Trent, Sam Bassinger and William Mays.
