Gary W. Maze, 64, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, in Community 
Hospice Care Center.


Mr. Maze was born Sept. 21, 1942, in Bath County, Ky., a son of the late Henry 
W. and Ruby Darrell Maze. He was a retired electrician with the IBEW Union and 
an avid reader.


Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Davis Maze of Ashland; a son, Dr. James 
G. “Butch” Maze and his wife, Michelle of Lake Charles, La.; a daughter, Suzie 
Maze Crump and her husband, Jeff of Ashland; a brother, Dennis A. Maze of 
Ashland; two sisters, Patty Sublett of Ashland and Linda Blair and her 
husband, Jack of Ironton, Ohio; five grandchildren, Wesley, Charlie and Mollie 
Maze and Tanner and Hunter Crump; a very special great-niece and great-nephew, 
Allie and Clay Reynolds; three nephews, Jason Blair, Tieg Maze and Paige Maze; 
and a niece, Lisa Reynolds.


The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen 
Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Don Young. Entombment will be in Rose Hill 
Burial Park Mausoleum.


Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
