Funeral Was Held Monday For Ermal M. McCord, 75

The funeral for Ermal Pauline Morgan McCord, 75, of Crofton was held Monday 
afternoon, Jan. 3, at Beshear Funeral Home.  Bro. Wendell McCord officiated. 
Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery in Christian County. 

Mrs. McCord died Thursday, Dec. 30, at 3:08 p.m. at Jennie Stuart Medical 
Center in Hopkinsville.  

She was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Christian County, daughter of the late Willis 
and Maude Mae Boze Morgan.  Mrs. McCord, a member of the Holiness faith, was a 
housewife and mother. She and her husband ran a farm in Northern Christian County.  
She was also preceded in death by a son, James Knight; two sisters, Hazel Eli 
and Syble Torrance; four brothers, Willis Morgan, Kivel Morgan, Pasket Morgan and 
Edward Morgan; and a great-grandchild, Britney Dickinson. Surviving are her husband 
James Riley  McCord; three sons, Roy McCord, Nortonville, and Jesse McCord and 
Roger McCord, Crofton; a daughter, Crystal McCord Samaha, Hopkinsville; two 
sisters, Daisy Grant, Dawson Springs, and Audrey McCord, Hopkinsville; 10 grand-
children; and nine great-grandchildren.
