Death -- ROBERT McGARY DIES IN OWENSBORO Robert McGARY, age 23, died last night about 7:30 p.m. (October 16, 1899 from tombstone). He died at his home on East 4th. Street, of typhoid fever, says the "Owensboro Messenger". He had only lived in the city 3 months, and was employed by the Cellulose Company. His parents live in Hardinsburg (Breckinridge County), Ky. The remains will be taken to Hardinsburg for burial this morning on the 8:18 "Texas Train". A., on the same stone with Peter S. McGARY, Peter S. Feb 14 1890 -- Oct 22 1918 Pvt. Sup Co 138 Fd Arty (Private Supply Company 138 Field Artillery) on the same stone with Robert W. McGARY, H. (Hillory) M. Jun 23 1842 -- Oct 29 1899 Robert and his father, Hillory, died 13 days apart. I could not identify Robert's mother with a tombstone.
