For and in consideration of the sum of Eighty Dollars to me in hand paid the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, I have this day Sold unto J. A. Burton 
all of my right title and Interest in and to the Estate of Samuel D. McGinnis 
Dec'd which may be due me or may be soon? due from this date from the Estate It 
being one third part of One Share, I being the Son of Dorsey McGinnis Dec'd who 
was a brother of Sam'l D. McGinnis and hereby Authorize the said J. A. Burton 
to receive and receipt to the Exe'r? of said McGinnis for any and all Monies 
which is or may be due me from said Estate.  Hereby ratifying and confirming 
all of his acts & fully authorizing him to act as my attorney in Signing my 
name if necessary to any receipts which may be required? by said Dec'd in 
Settling said Estate Given under my hand & seal this 21st day of November 1862.

was this day acknowledged before my Deputy Clerk by J. L. McGinnis to be his 
act and deed.
