McGinnis January 9 1869 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: January 9 1869 Recorded: January 9 1869 Deed Book 10, page 614 This Indenture made this 9th day of January 1869 between H. S. McGinnis and Carrie his wife of the first part of Lincoln Co. Ky and Paris Clark man of Color of the Second part of Boyle County Ky Witnesseth, that in consideration of one hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid and Five hundred dollars for which he has executed to me his two notes one of which is two hundred and fifty dollars this 1st day of January 1869 with interest from date The Second Two hundred and fifty dollars to be paid the 28th of November 1869 with interest A lien is hereby retained to Secure the Same The Said H. S. McGinnis and wife have this day Sold and by these presents doth convey to Said Paris Clark and his heirs forever a Certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Boyle County containing one acre and one quarter on the waters of Quirks Run and bounded as follows: Viz: beginning at a Stake in a line of Thomas Harbersons thence S12-1/2E 17-8/100 [poles] to the South edge of Turnpike road thence N88- 1/2E 12 poles to a Stake in a line of Mrs. Wingates thence N17W 19-40/100 poles to a Stake thence South 78-1/2W 10-20[?]/100 poles to the beginning with all and Singular its improvements and the Said parties of the first part hereby Covenant and agree to warrant and defend the title to the land hereby conveyed to the Said Paris Clark and his heirs forever against the claim or claims of all and every person Whatsoever. In Witness Whereof the Said H. S. McGinnis and wife hereto set their hands this day and date above written. H. S. McGinnis Carrie C. McGinnis State of Kentucky Lincoln County Sct. I, R. Carson Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid certify that this deed from H. S. McGinnis & wife was this day produced to me in my office and Acknowledged by Said H. S. McGinnis & Carrie C. McGinnis his wife to be their act and deed in due form of law Whereupon I certify Said deed and this Certificate to the Clerk of the Boyle County Court where the real estate lies for record.
