From: KyArchives [Archives@genrecords.org] Sent: Wednesday, October 27, 2004 9:28 PM To: Ky-Footsteps Subject: McGinnis-to-Claunch.1810.Mercer.DEED William Claunch - Samuel McGinnis July 14 1810 Mercer County KyArchives Deed Written: July 14 1810 Recorded: January 7 1811 Deed Book 7, page 537 This Indenture made this 14th day of July 1810 Between Samuel McGinnis of Mercer County & State of Kentucky of the one part and William Claunch of Said County and State of the other part witnesseth that the said Samuel McGinnis for and in consideration of the Sum of ten Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained Sold aliend and confirmed & by these presents do give grant bargain Sell alien & confirm unto the said William Claunch and his Heirs forever one Certain Tract or parcel of land containing One Acre and thirty Six Square poles Situate lying & being in Mercer County on the waters of Chapline and bounded as follows (To wit) Beginning at a locust and Beech Corner to John Gray, thence West 26-1/2 poles to a Dogwood and Ironwood; thence South 14 poles to a Cherry and Ironwood in John Grays line; thence N59E 30 poles to the Beginning with its appurtenences. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenences to the only Proper use and behoof of him the Said William Claunch his heirs forever. And the Said Samuel McGinnis for himself his Heirs Executors & Administrators the Said land premises unto the said William Claunch and his Heirs Shall and will forever warrant and defend against the Claim or Claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said Samuel McGinnis has hereunto Set his hand and affixed his Seal the Day and Year above written.
