McGinnis October 15 1866 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: October 15 1866 Recorded: January 6 1870 Book 11, page 347 This Indenture made on this 15th day of October 1866 between W. W. McGinnis & Lucretia E. McGinnis his wife of the County of Boyle & State of Kentucky of the first part and John Dye of the County and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth That for and in consideration of the sum of Seven hundred (700) dollars secured and to be paid on the 25th day of Nov'r 1867. The said W. W. McGinnis & Lucretia his wife hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien and convey unto the said John Dye and his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County and State of Kentucky, on the waters of Chaplin and bounded as follows, Beginning at a stone twelve feet North of a Stable corner to S. Tevis S86-3/4W 57-48/100 poles to a stone in said Tevis line -- thence S3E 49-64/100 poles to a stake corner to J. H. Gray thence E 83-16/00 poles to an old Buckeye stump corner to said J. H. Gray, thence with his line N 52-8/100 poles to a stone corner to said Tevis, thence N88W 28-48/100 poles to the beginning containing Twenty six acres two roods and 39 square poles together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise pertaining. To have and to hold the land hereby conveyed to John Dye and his heirs and assigns forever and the said parties of the first part for themselves their heirs Executors &c doth by these presents covenant and agree to warrant and defend the title to the aforesaid land against the claim or claims of all persons whatsoever.
