From: KyArchives [Archives@genrecords.org] Sent: Wednesday, October 27, 2004 6:12 PM To: Ky-Footsteps Subject: McGinnis-to-Eberley.1809.Mercer.DEED Jacob Eberley - William McGinnis February 13 1809 Mercer County KyArchives Deed Written: February 13 1809 Recorded: February 13 1809 Deed Book 7, page 133 This Indenture made this 13th Day of February 1809 Betwen William McGinnis and Patsey his wife of Mercer County and State of Kentucky of the one part and Jacob Eberley of said county & state of the other part witnesseth that the Said William McGinnis and Patsey his wife for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and sixty one Dollars & twenty five cents to them in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have given granted barained [sic] soled aliened and confirmed and by these pesents do give grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the Said Jacob Eberley and his Heirs forever one certain Tract or parcel of land containing One hundred and two Acres and an half situate lying and beeing in Mercer County on the waters of Chapline and bounded as follows, To wit Beeing [sic] at a Beech and Buckeye on a branch and corner to William McGinnis thence N85E 183 poles to a large ash thence S10E 105 poles to two Ash trees in Colters line thence N83W 192 Poles to a beech a corner to Henry May thence North 70 poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its appertenances to the only proper use and behoof of him the Said Eberley and his Heirs forever. And the Said William McGinnis and Patsey his wife for themselves their Heirs executors Administrators and Assigns the said land premises unto the said Jacob Eberley and his Heirs Shall and will forever warrant and defend against the claim or Claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof the said William McGinnis and Pastey [sic] his wife have herunto set their hands and affixed their seals the Day & year above written.
