Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Natural love and affection which the sd. Thomas has & bears to his daughter Polly McGinnis and for the further consideration of the sum of One Dollar to me in hand paid the said McGinnis [crossed out]Thomas before [crossed out] by the said John before the Sealing & delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and Sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said John his heirs and assigns forever the following Slaves, to wit, Franky and her two children Nelson & Queene with their future increase To have and to hold the Said Slaves and their future increase to the said John & his Heirs & assigns forever in Trust to and for the use and purposes following and for no other use or purpose whatsoever that is to say the said John his Heirs &c shall suffer the said Polly McGinnis to take in her possession and keep and retain the said slaves Franky Nelson and Queene with their future increase to and for the seperate use of her the sd. Polly during her natural life notwithstanding her coverture with Samuel McGinnis so that the same shall not be in the power or disposal of him the sd. Samuel her husband or liable to the payment of any of his debts or incumbrances and he the sd. Thomas McGinnis doth for himself his Heirs Exors and Admins covenant & agree to and with the sd. John his Heirs &c the use and profit of the sd. Slaves and their future increase shall be accounted taken and held as a seperate and distinct estate from the estate of her sd Husband Samuel McGinnis during the natural life of her the sd. Polly McGinnis and the said Thomas doth for and in consequence of the consideration aforementioned covenant and agree to and with the said John the sd. Slaves and their future increase and such of the profits as shall arise to the sd. Polly McGinnis therefrom during her natural life & which shall not be by her expended or used Shall at her death be equally divided amongst her surviving children to the only proper use and behoof of him and his Heirs and assigns forever and should it so happen that any of the children Heirs of the sd. Polly should die leaving an Heir or Heirs before the decease of her the said Polly then and in that case the share which would have falen to the sd decedent in case it had lived is to be delivered and go to such heir or Heirs in equal proportion to male and female and their Heirs forever. In Testimony whereof the said Thomas McGinis and John McGinnis hath hereunto Set their hands and Seals this day and date above written.
