McGinnis June 1855 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: June 1855 Recorded: July 27 1855 Deed Book 5, page 707 This Indenture made and entered into this ___ day of June one thousand eight hundred and fifty five by and between John McGinnis and Delila J. McGinnis his wife of the first part and Jas. W. McGinnis of the second part, Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy five dollars to us in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, release, enfeoff convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel lot of land with its appurtenances, lying and being in the Town of Perryville on the East side of Chaplin and adjoining the lands of Tadlock Broyles and Gray and bounded as follows (viz) Beginning at the Gate of Mrs. Tadlock where it now stands running South with her line twenty two poles and 13 feet South East 1 poles & 16 inches to the beginning including all the ground enclosed in said Boundary and all the estate, right, title, [unreadable] in and for of them the said parties of the first part of in and to the same, to have and to hold the said tract or parcel lot of land with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns to their only proper use and benefit [several words unreadable] and the said parties of the first part hereby covenant and agree with the said party of the second part and with his heirs and assigns that they will and that their heirs executors and administrators shall Warrant and Forever Defend the said tract or parcel of land with all the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns against the claims of all and every person [several words unreadable] lawfully claiming or to claim the same. In Witness Whereof the said parties of the first part have hereto set their hands and seals on the day and date first before written. J. C. McGinnis Delila J. McGinnis State of Kentucky Boyle County Sct. I Richard R. Bolling, Clerk of the Boyle County Court, do certify that the foregoing instrument of writing from J. C. Mcginnis and Delila McGinnis his wife to James W. McGinnis was this day produced to me in the County aforesaid which was acknowledged before me by the said J. C. McGinnis to be his act and deed and on the same day the contents and effect of this instrument being explained to the said Delila McGinnis she thereupon declared that she did freely and voluntarily executed and delivered the same to be her act and deed and consented that it might be recorded in my Of["in my Of" crossed out].
