This Indenture of Bargain and Sale made and entered into this the 26 day of 
November 1855 between Willis G. McGinnis of the County of Boyle and State of 
Kentucky of the first part and J. F. Owens of the County & State aforesaid of 
the second part, Witnesseth:  That for and in consideration of the sum of fifty 
five dollars in hand paid, the said Willis G. McGinnis doth hereby sell, alien 
and convey unto the said Jeremiah F. Owens all of my undivided interest in and 
to the Knob land that was owned by my father Washington McGinnis deceased, 
including all my interest in my mothers dower in said land, To have and to hold 
unto him the said J. F. Owens his heirs &c forever and I will warrant and 
forever defend the title to all of my undivided interest in the premises 
aforesaid unto him the said J. F. Owens and his heirs forever.
Witness my hand this day and year aforesaid.

I Richard R. Bolling Clerk of the Boyle County Court, do certify that the 
foregoing instrument of writing from W. G. McGinnis to J. F. Owens was 
acknowledged before [me] in my Office on the 26 day of November 1855 by said 
McGinnis and ordered to record.  Whereupon the same, together with this 
certificate hath been duly recorded in [my] Office.  Witness my hand this 7 day
