McGinnis September 20 1858 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: September 20 1858 Recorded: September 22 1858 Deed Book 7, page 93 For and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred dollars in hand to us paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, We, Willis G. McGinnis, and Julia Ann McGinnis, of Boyle County, have this day bargained and sold, aliened and conveyed, and by these presents, do bargain, sell, alien and convey unto Lucy Ann Paul, late McGinnis, widow of Washington McGinnis, decd., of the county aforesaid, a certain tract or parcel of ground lying in Boyle County, and situated on the head waters of Quirks Run, being the Dower interest allotted to said Lucy Ann Paul, as Widow of Washington McGinnis, (as per Commissioners report on file in the Boyle County Clerk's Office,) and lately deeded by said Lucy Paul to the said W. G. McGinnis, containing twenty five and 1/4 acres, being lot No. 5, as per the Survey accompanying the Comr's report; and also lots No. 7 & 8 in said report, containing Sixty-two Acres of Knob Land, and for particular description of said lots of ground reference is made to the report of the Commissioners on file in the Boyle County Clerk's Office - To have and to hold unto the said Lucy Ann Paul, her heirs, Executors, &c, the said tracts or parcels of ground, forever, and the said Willis G. McGinnis and his wife Julia Ann, hereby bind themselves, their heirs, Executors, &c., to warrant and defend the title to said tracts or parcels of ground against the claim or claims of all and every person whatsoever; And it is understood that said Willis G. McGinnis is to have the use of the house on said Dower land and also to have firewood off same during the life time of said Lucy Ann Paul. In testimony whereof, we have hereunto set our hands this 20th day of September, 1858. Willis G. McGinnis Julia A. McGinnis (her X mark) State of Kentucky Boyle County; Sct. I, Jas. F. Zimmerman, Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid, do certify that the foregoing Deed from Willis G. McGinnis and Julia A. McGinnis, his wife, to Lucy Ann Paul was on the 20th day of September, 1858, produced to me in my office, and acknowledged in due form of law, by said Willis G. McGinnis to be his act and deed. And afterwards, to-wit, on the 22d day of September, 1858, said deed was acknowledged before me in my office, in due form of law, by Julia A. McGinnis, to be her act and deed.
