Taylor - Et al McGinnis August 21, 1856 Warren-Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: August 21, 1856 Recorded: January 1, 1859 Warren County, Kentucky Deed Book 28, pages 165-166 This Indenture made and entered into this 21st day of August 1856 by and between William H. McGinnis and Mary F. McGinnis late Taylor his wife of Boyle County Kentucky and William S. Taylor of Warren County Ky heirs and representatives of Fornifor Taylor late of Warren Co. deceased of the first part and Edwin J. Taylor of Warren County of the second part Witnesseth that whereas in a distribution of the estate of said Fornifor Taylor made by and among his heirs the tract of land hereinafter mentioned and described fell to the lot[?] of the said Edwin J. Taylor which by Commissioners chosen by the parties ???? estimated at the value of six hundred dollars. Now therefore the parties of the first part in consideration of the premises aforementioned and for the further consideration of one dollar in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged do hereby bargain sell and convey unto the party of the second part the said Edwin J. Taylor his heirs and assigns forever all their undivided interest as heirs aforesaid the following described tract or parcel of land lying and being in County of Warren Ky. and bounded thus Beginning at a Sugar tree Tatoms old corner near Gasper river running thence with his line North 255 poles to a stake thence West 54 poles to a hickory white oak & sugar tree thence S40West 60 poles to three beeches Tyler corner thence S40E 40 poles to two white oaks and a hickory Doughertys Corner thence with his line South 282 poles to two white oaks his other corner thence E 66 poles to the Beginning containing one hundred acres be the same more or less. Also another tract adjoining the aforesaid tract Beginning on a Corner white oak ash and Elm in Heards line on the bank of Gasper river from the Center of the river thence up the river to Tatoms line thence North down Tatoms line to the Beginning Containing twenty acres more or less, both of said tracts lying on Gasper river Together with all and singular the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging To have and to hold the same unto the said Edwin J. Taylor his heirs and vendees forever the parties of the first part hereby covenanting that they will forever warrant and defend so far as their interest extend the title to the premises so conveyed unto him the party of the second part his heirs &c against the claims of all and every person whatsoever. It is understood that the parties of the first part mentioned are a portion only of the heirs of the said Fornafor Taylor Dec'd and that their several interest as heirs afsd. is all that passes by this conveyance. McGinnis and Mary F. McGinnis his wife &c to Edwin J. Taylor was this day acknowledged before me in my office by the said Wm H. McGinnis to be his act and deed and the contents and effect of said deed being explained to the said Mary F. McGinnis by me Separate and apart from her husband she declared that she did freely and voluntarily execute and deliver the same to be her act and deed and consented that it might be recorded all of which is hereby Certified to the proper office for record. Blewitt Clerk of the County Court of said County do certify that this deed from W. S. Taylor and others to Edwin J. Taylor was produced to me in my office the 27[?] day of December 1858 and was duly acknowledged by W. S. Taylor to be his act and deed Whereupon the tax being this day paid I have duly recorded said deed with the foregoing Certificate and this Certificate in my office.
