McGinnis for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and sixty two dollars and fifty cents paid to be paid to her by George and Henry Hines sold to wit: one hundred sixty two Dollars and fifty cents cash paid before the delivery of this deed, and the further sum of one hundred dollars to be paid on or before the first day of Sept 1877, with eight per cent per annum from the first day of Sept 1877 until paid, and a lien is hereby retained on the land here sold until the balance of the purchase money is paid she has bargained and sold and by these presnts alien and convey to the said Hineses a certain piece or parcel of land lying in Boyle County Kentucky and situated on Turnpike running from Perryville to Maxville and bounded as follows: Beginning at a point in the centre of the pike thence N1W 47-30/100 poles to a stake in a line of Silas Tevis, thence with said line, S87W 41- 15/100 poles to the centre of the pike, thence with the same S45-2/3E 58 poles to the beginning & containing five acres one rood & 26 poles of land, to have and to hold unto themselves the said Hineses &c together with all and singular the hereditaments tenements and appurtenances thereunto belonging and the said Lucretia McGinnis will forever warrant and defend the title to the land here sold unto the said George and Henry Hines &c against the claims of all persons whomsover. Nichols Clerk Boyle County Court do certify that on the 11th day of Jany 1878 this instrument of writing from Lucretia E. McGinnis to Geroge and Henry Hines was produced to J. B. H. Latimer a deputy clerk of said by the parties which was acknowledged by the said Lucretia E. McGinnis to be her act and deed. All of which appears by an endorsement of said deputy on said instrument in words and figures as follows, viz. "1878 Jany11th acknowledged before me by Lucretia E. McGinnis in due form of law. Att. Reed S. Nichols Clk By J. B. H. Latimer D.C." Wherefore the same was this day filed and ordered to be recorded, which is now done. Given under my hand this 18th Feby 1878. Att. Reed S.
