Witneseth that the s’d Lawrence McGuire and Rosy in consideration of the sum of Eighty Eight Pounds lawful money of the commonwealth aforesaid __ them in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge granted bargained & sold & by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the s’d Henry Thompson a certain parcel of land situate in the County aforesaid on the waters of Salt River on the West side being a part of survey of Four Hundred & Fifty acres patented to John Arnold & bounded as follows; To Wit: Beginning at a North Eastwardly corner of said survey adjoining Abraham Sharps land Two Sugars and a Hicory sapling near the bank of a branch thence North Eighteen degrees East One Hundred & Thirty poles crossing a small branch to two Sugar trees near a drain thence North Twenty Five degrees West One Hundred & Fourteen poles to a Red oak & Hicory sapling near the fork of a small branch thence South Sixty Five degrees West crossing the branch Ninety poles to a Black Oak Sugar tree & Dogwood sapling on the original line thence South five and One Half degrees East One Hundred & Eighty Three poles crossing a branch to a Beech and Two Sugar trees near the bank thence North Seventy Nine & One half degrees East crossing the branch Twenty poles to a White Oak and Dogwood sapling near the banks of the branch thence South Twenty Five degrees East crossing the branch at Two poles Thirty Four poles to a White Oak Maple and Dogwood sapling on the line of the original survey thence with the same North Sixty Five degrees East Forty Two poles crossing the branch to the beginning containing One Hundred and Twenty Five acres more or less together with all its appurtenances To have and to hold the said land with its appurtenances to the only proper use of him the said Henry Thompson his heirs and assigns forever and the said Lawrence McGuire & Rosy his wife for themselves and their heirs do agree to and with the said Henry Thompson his heirs and assigns forever warrant and defend against all and every person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Lawrence McGuire & Rosy have hereunto set their hands and seals the day & year above written.
