All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: William McGuire http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00022.html#0005431 March 20, 2008, 6:23 pm Written: January 1795 Recorded: January 26, 1795 Mercer County, Kentucky Deed Book, Vol: 3, page 36, 1796 This Indenture made 26th day of January One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninty Six between Laurence McGuire and Rosy his wife of the County of Mercer and Commonwealth of – of the one part and Andrew Wilson of the county and Commonwealth aforesaid witnesseth that the said Laurence McGuire and Rosey his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy Pounds lawful money of the Commonwealth aforesaid to them in hand paid there receipt whereof they do hereby grant acknowledge and have granted, bargained and sold by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Andrew Wilson, his heirs and assigns one certain parcel of land situate in the county aforesaid sit. On the waters of Salt River, on the west side, a part of a Four Hundred and Fifty Acres survey patented to John Arnold and bounded as follows: to wit, beginning at Edward Smith’s Northwest corner two White oaks and black ash on the west side of the ridge thence south sixty five degrees west seventy eight poles crossing a branch at thirty six poles to two white oaks and a hickory on the s’d line with the same south twenty five degrees east two hundred sixty poles to the corner a red oak and dogwood sapling on the east side rige (right?), hind(?) with another line of the same North sixty five degrees east seventy eight poles to a black ash and hickory sapling near a small branch thence north twenty five degrees west two hundred and six poles to the beginning containing one hundred acres more or less together with all its apurtinances. To have and to hold the said land with its apurtinances unto the said Andrew Wilson his heirs and assigns forever and the said Laurence McGuire & Rosy his wife for themselves and their heirs do covenant and agree to and with the said Andrew Wilson his heirs and assigns that they and their heirs will the said land with its appurtanances unto him, his heirs and assigns against any person or persons whatever, shall and will forever warrant and defend. Witnesseth whereof the said Laurence McGuire & Rosy his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this day and year above written, (his wife) Interlined(?) in two places before signed his Laurence (X) McGuire mark her Rosy (X) McGuire mark Mercer Sit.
