There seems to be little if anything in the way of a clue, but the police hope to bring the guilty parties to justice. McKnight was found at about midnight on the Ashland ferry grade, and the police, thinking him drunk, carried him in the patrol to the city prison where he remained until five o'clock Sunday evening before attentiion was paid to him. Then efforts to arouse him failed and a physician was summoned. The physician saw that the young man's condition was very serious and rushed him to the hospital where death occurred early Monday morning. Miss Rowe stated that McKnight had been drinking before he called on her Saturday night.
